Mission
Statement: To serve the highest quality product in a fashion that
develops a life long relationship between our customers and the joy
found in Silbermann's ice cream.

In
1966, Alfred
and Ilse Silbermann
took over the Swensen's location
in Northgate One - and their first
son, Curtis, was born.
In
1989, the Silbermanns incorporated
the store in the family name,
the parents retired, and Curtis
and his wife Christina took over
the operation.
In
2005, after a career flying jets
for the Navy and the Air Force,
second son Daniel
Silbermann and his wife
Christy assumed control of the
business from Curtis, who retired
to move on to new adventures.
In
2008 Daniel safely returned from a tour of duty in Iraq defending our
ability to enjoy ice cream. His family has grown with the
addition of Christopher and Nicholas. The Sibermann's Ice Cream
family has grown as well with the re-addition of John Zeiter and the new addtion of Chris
Oos. John is a master ice cream maker who was originally trained
by Alfred. Chris will be focusing on broadening the retail and wholesale
accounts of the "oldest" traditional familiy ice cream in the North Bay.
We've been in the same location since the shopping mall has been built...and
compared to Safeway, we are the only store who has never had to shift gears because of
the continuation of good old business philosophies...providing the best product
with the best service.
